About this Opportunity
As an Audit Manager working across the Data, Privacy and Responsible AI portfolio, you will have a deep understanding of Data and AI, focusing on frameworks, tooling and practices in Lloyds Banking Group. You'll lead high-quality audits or elements of large audits in accordance with the agreed plan, with relative autonomy, harnessing an understanding of business strategy/priorities, controls, and risks to provide high quality independent assurance on the effectiveness of controls, frameworks and principles related to Data, Privacy and AI.
This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a growth mindset and critical thinking to join a fast-paced Data and AI environment in one of the UK's largest digital banks and positively contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of LBG's delivery of its Data & AI strategy.
Day to day, you will:
- Contribute to the audit plan, supporting the portfolio lead by project managing individual audits on their behalf.
- Support control testing and identify areas of concern, articulating the potential challenge.
- Support senior colleagues build meaningful stakeholder relationships whilst making their own connections.
- Proactively suggest & deliver improvements in current compliance processes by being bold.
- Conduct research considering multiple perspectives and brings the outside in to enable analysis of key themes and external trends.
- Actively role model the Group values and behaviours.
- Put the team first by coaching with purpose, being present with the team and openly communicating expectations.
- Freely share insight and timely, direct, effective feedback that contributes to the success of the delivery plan and leaves a positive, sustainable impact on the function.

What you'll need:
- Experience in leading audits from an end-to-end point of view and engagement with key stakeholders to deliver audits that are timely, impactful, insightful and valued by stakeholders.
- Understanding of key concepts relevant to data management, data privacy, AI and cloud technology.
- Ability to lead and take ownership for delivery, and championing colleagues' growth and development.
- Ability to understand and interpret Group and Business Unit Strategy and connect audit delivery and business monitoring insights to such strategies at the Macro level.
- Ability to analyse, understand and communicate data as information, and to use data to drive effective audit outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize your work and that of others effectively to ensure timely and value-added delivery.
In addition, technical knowledge and experience in the following:
- Data Management frameworks, including Data risks and controls and understanding of Data Management tools (Cloud native or other) e.g. Collibra.
- AI Governance Frameworks, laws and regulations (including intersection with data privacy laws and regulations).
- Understanding of emerging AI technologies and practice.
- Technical skills might be demonstrated by professional qualification(s) e.g. DAMA, CDMP and/or evidence of extensive work-based experience in relevant areas. Previous financial services, audit or risk experience is beneficial.
