Hours & Working Pattern: Full‑time. Hybrid working style: spending at least two days per week (or 40% of your time) at our offices.

Join our dynamic Intermediaries team within the Business & Commercial Bank, focusing on delivering term debt lending and acquiring new switchers for the organisation. Your mission is to build and nurture relationships with brokers, promoting the bank to professionals and key influencers in your local area. The role offers the chance to support SME clients with turnovers between £3 million and £25 million and to develop business opportunities for our group.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to brokers and clients, ensuring their needs are at the heart of every interaction.
  • Provide funding solutions, write credit proposals, and ensure compliance with conduct risk requirements.
  • Lead the Bank’s profiling through digital advocacy and professional social media.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive banking solutions tailored to brokers’ needs.
  • Support and mentor the team, providing guidance to help them achieve their objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of commercial banking experience alongside strong credit‑writing skills in the SME space and a proven track record of delivering term debt products.
  • Results focused, taking personal responsibility for delivering results and embracing change.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining productive client relationships with high volumes of high‑value engagements.
  • Specialist knowledge, including sector knowledge and experience using digital tools to drive excellent client outcomes.
  • People skills, a growth mindset, and a keen interest in enhancing client experience with new tools.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and upholding the Bank’s image across clients and professionals.
