Overview
As the Lab Product Owner you will lead the newly formed Lloyds Wealth Lab on the Waterfront Platform, partnering across wealth, insurance, pensions and investments to build and deliver the Lab’s ambitious strategy.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the establishment of a new Lab that will grow to over 50 FTE across the UK and India.
- Create and manage the experience strategy for the new Lloyds Wealth experience in collaboration with business, IP&I, brands, marketing and experience teams.
- Provide direction and vision to product owners, prioritising the right things to deliver value to clients and collaborators.
- Ensure all product owners, customer journey managers, engineering leads and senior integrators understand priorities and can add customer value both individually and as a team.
- Own journey management, optimising for reduced client and adviser pain‑points, cost of service and increased value delivery.
- Work with the Lab Engineering Lead to ensure the Lab has sufficient skills, knowledge and capacity to deliver.
- Accountable for platform key results, including cost of ownership, backlog delivery, simplification and customer satisfaction.
- Handle product risks with the Lab teams and engineering lead, ensuring the vision and roadmap align with platform strategy and policies.
- Shape and nurture the Lab culture, fostering collaborative, empowered teams and encouraging innovation while minimising risk through data‑driven testing and learning.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years experience in wealth management and advice, with operational and change roles that deliver features meeting client needs and regulatory demands.
- 5+ years of Product Owner experience, leading and prioritising backlogs, and supervising benefit realisation across customer, commercial and technology change.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership and delivering on multi‑location teams across the UK and India.
- Ability to plan and run resources and budgets, prioritising tasks and ensuring efficient production of outstanding product features.
- Demonstrable experience of RAID management, running delivery risks and escalating at appropriate times and levels.
- Understanding of technology, particularly advice tools, CRM and digital technology, to aid the team through blockers and fit solutions into the wider IT ecosystem.
