About This Opportunity
We're looking for an Investment Proposition Manager to join our Investment Solutions team within Insurance, Pensions and Investments (IP&I). IP&I supports over 10 million customers across investments, retirement and insurance. Through Scottish Widows, we deliver high‑quality investment solutions and continue to evolve our proposition to meet changing customer needs and improve outcomes. This role sits within the Investment Proposition team, with a focus on Workplace Pensions. You'll support the design, development and ongoing management of the workplace investment proposition. Working closely with teams including asset allocation, portfolio management, risk and governance, you'll help ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements and deliver good member outcomes. You'll also contribute to proposition development, including sustainability and responsible investment. Your work will support improved customer outcomes and strengthen our workplace investment proposition.
What you'll be doing
- Driving and supporting solution design, evolution and ongoing management of the Workplace pension investment proposition, including default strategies and fund ranges.
- Working closely with propositional and governance colleagues, acting as a bridge between Investments and the wider business to translate strategy, regulation and insight into clear, deliverable investment solutions.
- Driving ongoing relevance of the proposition through analysis of customer needs, market developments and competitor trends, and translating this insight into proposition improvements.
- Supporting the full lifecycle management of workplace investment solutions, including enhancements to existing propositions and input to new solution development.
- Leading and contributing to investment design and policy activity, including proposition documentation, member‑facing materials and supporting tools.
- Providing targeted investment and proposition support to distribution teams when required, including engagement with Investment Distribution Specialists, and supporting external activity.
- Providing broader proposition support across Advice and Direct‑to‑Consumer channels when required.
- Contributing to governance frameworks and operating within defined risk, legal and regulatory standards.
What we're looking for
- Experience in Workplace DC pensions with a focus on investment proposition.
- Strong knowledge of default investment strategies, lifestyle strategies and workplace fund ranges.
- Understanding of the workplace pensions market including members, employers, trustees advisers and providers.
- Broad investment knowledge including asset allocation, fund structures and investment design.
- Experience contributing to investment proposition development within a pension provider consultancy or asset manager.
- Strong analytical skills with experience assessing market trends, customer needs and competitor positioning.
