About this Opportunity

The Head of Colleague Propositions Innovation role offers the chance to develop market-leading propositions for 65k employees. It supports our EVP to attract diverse and skilled talent. You will jointly lead Colleague Propositions & Policy, sharing accountability for Colleague Policy Standards, risk controls and budgets - ensuring standards remain compliant, traceable to regulation and legislation, and effectively embedded across the Group. You will utilise technology to deliver automated, exciting and commercial propositions that deliver an enhanced global colleague experience.

You will co-own the development and management of Group wide HR content, guidance and propositions that support colleagues and leaders across the organisation. This includes shaping areas such as hybrid working and Prosper HR knowledge content. While you won’t own the platforms themselves, your focus will be on ensuring clarity, simplicity and accountability across all colleague touchpoints.

You will be responsible Group wide for our non-reward HR policy standards; flexible working standards including hybrid working, family propositions, sickness and absence standards, holiday and leave arrangements, redundancy policy standard etc. In addition to our standards you'll also be accountable for the employment contracts across the Group.

You will lead a team of innovators and technical experts based across our UK hubs. The team sits within the Culture, Leadership & Talent team in People & Places.

Key Priority Areas for 2026

The role is varied and priorities can change rapidly. This role requires someone who is adaptable and agile and very comfortable leading and providing clarity in times of ambiguity.

  • Supporting colleague mobility by creating increased movement across roles, teams and business areas.
  • Developing a suite of pathways that enable colleagues and business leaders to move from one role to another, collaborating with Strategic Workforce Planning, HR Legal, Skills and Learning, Risk, Recruitment and Reward.
  • Designing healthy, structured exit pathways for colleagues ready for life after LBG including a bridge to retirement and/or for those pivoting into new careers.
  • Transforming our E2E enterprise experience for sickness, absence and other types of leave.
  • Leading our readiness and implementation of Employment Rights Act changes, building on the responsibility for change assessment, consultation and regulatory alignment.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will blend strategic proposition innovation, policy simplification and automation, risk stewardship and high-trust stakeholder leadership across People & Places. You’ll help set direction, coach teams, allocate work to must win priorities, collaborate and ensure alignment with goals and Group strategy.

How You Will Lead

You will act as a connective leader across the function—uplifting standards, shaping content, simplifying complexity, and resolving ambiguity. Together, you'll ensure that policy and colleague experience solutions remain practical, human centred and grounded in the culture we want to create.
