This full-time position is based in London and operates on a hybrid working pattern. The Credit Officer will conduct independent credit analysis and sanction of infrastructure and project finance facilities, with a focus on renewables and related asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent credit assessments and present findings to sanctioning officials, including analysis of company information, technical and market due diligence, and risk identification.
- Collaborate with originators, relationship managers, product partners, and clients to shape structured credit proposals and maintain an acceptable risk-reward balance.
- Monitor and manage credit exposures, communicating with risk colleagues and sanctioners to maintain compliance with policy and regulation.
- Undertake customer, sector and market research to incorporate external dimensions and perform sensitivity analysis of cash-flow models.
- Maintain records to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements and oversee deal origination teams against group policy.
Qualifications
- Experience in credit risk management within the infrastructure and project finance sectors, with technical knowledge of renewables, PFI, economic and digital infrastructure, and energy transition technology.
- Strong communication, influencing and recommendation skills; able to challenge the status quo and explain decisions.
- Ability to balance conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Quick learner, adaptable to new challenges.
- Demonstrated sound judgement, strong decision-making, attention to detail, collaboration, and passion for the covered asset classes.
