About this opportunity: Are you passionate about detecting sanctioned individuals, entities, and politically exposed persons (PEPs)? Do you flourish with fine-tuning filtering techniques and driving efficiency without compromising accuracy? If so, we want you on our team. We're looking for a Financial Crime Technical Manager to join our diverse and dynamic group. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation and regulatory compliance-helping to craft our approach, exploring new territory, and directly influencing our success. You'll help to innovate and apply your expertise, and your ideas will directly impact our success!
What you'll do:
- Champion the integration of new technologies into our Transaction, Name and PEP screening processes.
- Help lead projects from concept through to successful delivery.
- Navigate the complex landscape of UK, EU, and international sanctions compliance.
- Lead and maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy.
- Minimise risk and ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to.
- Take on challenging problems and uncover business opportunities through analytical thinking.
- Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for a broad audience.
- Ensure Landscape and procedures are up to date with current legislations.
- Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including Group Internal Audit and Regulatory bodies on Sanctions and PEP's related matters.
- Lead, support and maintain a high performing team.
- Maintain existing screening technologies.
What You'll Need:
- Experience in the Sanctions Screening space particularly in Transactions, Name and PEP's screening.
- Experience in Risk Management/minimising risk and Change.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate filter performance using historical data and recommend improvements.
- Familiarity with industry-standard screening tools (e.g., FircoSoft) and filtering technologies.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Knowledge of Economic Crime Prevention processes.
- Experience in supporting and maintaining a high performing team.
- Experience with automation and data visualisation tools like Power BI/Tableau to support strategic decision-making would be beneficial but is not crucial.
