An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Planning and Analysis team within the Group Cost & Investment Finance Division, sitting within a Centre of Excellence in Group Cost Management. The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager for Group Functions Planning and Analysis and supports three specialist teams: Planning and Analysis, Reporting and Controls, and Performance Improvement. You’ll work closely with Finance Business Partners to deliver insightful Management Information for month‑end and planning cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production and development of insightful reporting and MI packs for flash, month‑end, and planning rounds.
  • Lead forecasting and strategic 4‑year plans, providing insight and analysis to support Finance Business Partners.
  • Review, investigate and challenge material exceptions, providing high‑quality commentary.
  • Create scenario modelling and analysis for ad‑hoc requests, ensuring high standards through robust controls.
  • Assist and empower junior colleagues, fostering an engaged team to deliver impact.
  • Continuously promote and embed a process‑improvement culture.
  • Build and maintain regular contact and strong working relationships with key partners.

Working in the Group Cost & Investment team provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the overall Divisional P&L and expose you to the wider organisation.

Qualifications

  • Finance professional with a track record of personal growth and achievement.
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience, including financial control responsibilities such as month‑end reporting, planning/forecasting, analytical review, reconciliations and control.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, building and maintaining a cross‑functional network.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm to understand, challenge, influence and agree actions in relation to business financial performance.
  • Strong team‑working ethos and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to inspire continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Understanding of Oracle and/or finance systems and software.
