An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner (FBP) to join the Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) FBP team, responsible for managing a business area within GCOO. The role sits within the Group Cost & Investment team. The Group Investment & Cost Partnering team are the front line into the Business Units and Platforms, who deliver the Group Change agenda. The team think strategically to support delivery and are trusted advisors to the Business and its Leadership teams!

The Senior Business Partnering role provides challenge and insight and the need to demonstrate an unquestionable appetite to understand the Businesses they support. Using knowledge of the cost drivers, they clearly and concisely articulate the story behind monthly results to senior customers and drive planning and forecasting activity, providing challenge and analysis to support the accuracy and robustness of GCOO's financial plans!

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality partnering support to the GCOO business area day to day.
  • Produce and present clear, insightful management reporting to senior colleagues, including the Chief Information Office, Technology Platform Lead, Business Platform Lead and Group Cost & Investment Director.
  • Identify, assess and proactively manage risks to the business cost base e.g. contract renewals and resource pressures.
  • Build strong relationships with the Business Management team to drive a robust "no surprises" culture.
  • Work with divisional teams in understanding business benefits, providing independent oversight of benefit validation and reporting.
  • Provide financial governance and oversight, including SOX compliance and balance sheet control.
  • Be fully engaged on any relevant Signature and Essential Actions.
  • Ensure interlock on all investment/project benefits, payback and objectives & key results.
  • Work closely with the Centre of Excellence to ensure high-quality inputs, outputs and effective communication.
  • Role-model Lloyds Banking Group's culture and leadership behaviours through visible, values-led leadership.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified e.g. ACCA.
  • 5 plus years post-qualified gaining deep financial experience, with an understanding of core financial principles and controls, including capitalisation and cost management.
  • 5 plus years gaining strong business partnering capability, with the ability to work constructively with a range of colleagues across divisions and teams.
  • 5 plus years leadership experience demonstrating the ability to prioritise work, provide direction, and support team members in a small team environment.
  • Proven ability to engage in constructive challenge, both with and from the Business, to support robust decision-making.
  • Proven ability to apply judgement to resolve issues, raising when needed and working collaboratively with colleagues to reach the right outcome for the Group.
  • Build effective working relationships across Finance, Technology and Business Management teams to support delivery.
  • Demonstrate being comfortable managing urgent requests and changing priorities, adapting focus as needed while maintaining delivery of core activities.
