If so, we have an outstanding opportunity for a Business Development Associate Director to join our Asset Finance team dealing with prospects in Mid‑Markets (£25m‑£500m turnover). This newly created role is part of a growing segment of Asset Finance at Lloyds Banking Group, offering a key part of the cash‑flow solution for many trading businesses. You will identify and deliver high‑quality new business opportunities and collaborate to deliver a range of Asset Finance products for new clients.
Responsibilities
- Establish new relationships for the Asset Finance business.
- Identify, target, and prioritise new prospects using business research and prospecting tools.
- Make first contact with new clients, utilising the Lloyds brand to arrange meetings and explain the value Lloyds can bring.
- Build relationships with clients to generate trust and develop interest in working with Lloyds.
- Work with the client and existing relationship teams to agree credit lines with new clients.
- Provide a full and comprehensive handover to relationship colleagues and remain available for ongoing support if required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven track record in business development using direct means of establishing contact with clients.
- Proven track record in Asset Finance, with expert product knowledge to maximise delivery across all channels.
- Experience working with mid or large‑size corporate clients within the financial services industry, accountable for structuring financial solutions and negotiating deals.
- Proficiency in the credit and underwriting process and fluency in analysing financial documents to make recommendations.
- Strong local networks with extensive connections in the professional space, capable of leveraging these for business development opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with coverage colleagues and key business introducers (internal and external stakeholders) to ensure effective delivery.
