Working Pattern

Initially, working in the office will be required for most of the time as you settle into your role. Later on, aim to transition to a hybrid working model, where you will be expected to be at your base location for a minimum of two days per week. This arrangement will require approval from your line manager.

  1. Shift Duration and Timing:
    • Day Shift: 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM
    • Night Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
  2. Shift Distribution:
    • 4 week rolling shift pattern, each shift lasting 12 hours 15 mins with a 2-hour break.
    • These shifts will include both day and night shifts including weekends and bank holidays
  3. Weekend Shifts:
    • 2 consecutive weekends per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday: days, Friday, Saturday Sunday: nights)

During your initial two weeks at Lloyds Banking Group, you will be assigned to day shifts as part of the induction program. Specific hours will be communicated upon the completion of the recruitment process. Following this induction period, you’ll transition to a rotational shift pattern to commence your learning.

What you’ll learn

During this two-year apprenticeship, you will specialise in first-line event and alert management within our 24×7 Incident Operations function. This role offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in various technology and process disciplines, including IT Incident, Problem and Change Management, Windows, Cloud platforms, Mainframe, and more.

You’ll be making a real impact on millions of customers, businesses, and communities.

As part of your Level  3 apprenticeship, you will cover topics such as:

  • Programme development lifecycles
  • Effective communication and team working
  • Problem solving
  • Logic and data structures
  • IT solutions components (including how hardware and software components work together)

What you’ll need to apply

  • GCSE (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 in both Maths and English (language and / or literature)

These grades can be predicted, but any offer made to you will be conditional upon successful achievement of these qualifications.

  • You’ll need to be at least 18 years old on 1st September 2025.

Whilst we welcome candidates who have a degree, this cannot be in a field related to the apprenticeship due to a crossover in learning. We’ll request a copy of your degree module transcript to review if your degree may contain prior learning.

Salary

You will join us on a fixed apprenticeship salary. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be re-graded, with your pay range consistent with the job family for your business area.
