What you'll be doing:
- Oversee trading desk activity across a variety of asset classes including rates, FX, credit, repo, and xVA, and use your deep product knowledge to ensure that risk taken is appropriately controlled.

- Use your technical communication skills to ensure that senior stakeholders within the Group understand the risks that are being taken.
- Shape and enhance the Group’s market risk framework — strengthening policies, risk appetite, methodologies, and the broader control environment.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge on a variety of asset classes as well as a strong understanding of market dynamics.
- Contribute as a market risk SME on internal and regulatory change projects.

- A deep end-to-end understanding of derivative pricing, market risk, capital requirements and xVA methodologies.
- A strong understanding of market risk metrics and their uses within a bank setting.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
- A track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships across different functions.
- A strong working knowledge of Excel and other MS applications, Python, and query languages (SQL, MDX).
- Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture.
