As a Senior Credit Officer, you’ll be a Centre of Excellence for CIB and specialist portfolios, leading deep dives into complex asset classes, sectors, and products – from derivatives to financial markets. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject-matter guide, you’ll work closely with senior credit and business leaders, shaping strategy, standards and credit appetite across our organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Craft high‑quality credit risk opinions supporting CIB strategies, risk appetite requests, scenarios, stress testing, emerging risks and regulatory/rating agency queries.
  • Influence and enhance policy, reviewing and shaping CIB and specialist Credit policies, standards, portfolio mandates and complex transactions.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for specialist credit queries, portfolio changes and new product proposals.
  • Play a pivotal role in CIB’s Transaction Execution Committee and Markets Product Committee, reviewing proposals and providing recommendations.
  • Scan the horizon for economic, market and political developments, helping the team maintain robust portfolio and policy frameworks.
  • Drive innovation, leading ad‑hoc projects that enhance our reporting, appetite frameworks, and sector insights.
  • Champion leadership, supporting an inclusive, skilled, high‑performing team culture.

You’ll gain substantial exposure to senior colleagues up to GEC level and develop a broad, enterprise-wide perspective across credit, from portfolio strategy and stress testing to building relationships with external participants, management, as well as perfecting your high‑impact communication.
