We’re looking for an Associate Director to join the Cash Management and Payments Structuring team, a part of Transactional Structuring team within Transaction Banking Solutions (TBS). The team’s remit spans Cash Structuring & Execution & Digital Assets Strategy. They’re responsible for solutioning & executing transactions whilst actively supporting origination, product and commercialisation teams managing TBS CIB clients. Providing specialist expertise across liquidity, payments, collections, account structures and treasury transformation initiatives, while ensuring successful delivery through an end-to-end transaction execution framework.

The team supports the development of the bank's digital assets strategy within Transaction Banking, identifying future opportunities relating to tokenised money, digital payments, settlement innovation and emerging cash management models. Working closely with Sales, Product, Coverage, Implementation, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance, the Associate Director acts as a solution architect and execution lead for strategically important and complex client opportunities.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Leading the design and solutioning of complex cash management, liquidity and treasury solutions; integrating cash, payments, receivables, payables, working capital and FX considerations into holistic client solutions.
  • Assessing legal, regulatory, tax, operational and execution risks associated with proposed structures, helping to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Leading the end-to-end execution of complex Transaction Banking mandates from deal inception through implementation and stabilisation.
  • Providing oversight and guidance to Associates in the preparation of solution papers and contribution to Sales team presentations, ensuring accurate analysis, clear articulation of risks and mitigants, and high-quality committee-ready submissions.
  • Collaboration with Product and Technology teams to transition strategic concepts into executable client solutions.
  • Actively feedback observations around competitor approaches and capabilities to the product teams. Understand the external market and competitor capabilities, enabling LBG to consider gaps in proposition with the potential to unlock growth.
  • Supporting the delivery of P&L targets of Transaction Banking business, including identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  • Supporting the development of the Transaction Banking digital assets strategy including business cases and commercialisation strategies for emerging capabilities.
  • Building relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Coverage, Product, Risk Operations, Client Services, and delivery, acting as a trusted partner.
  • Supporting the development and mentoring of junior colleagues.
  • Ensuring compliance with group policy and regulatory requirements.

What we need from you:

Essential skills:

  • Proven experience in solutioning complex cash management and treasury offerings and ability for deal execution, collaborating effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Significant experience within Transaction Banking, Treasury Services, Cash Management or Liquidity Solutions including Channels e.g. Banking Platforms, APIs, SWIFT, Cash products, Cheque products, Card products.
  • The ability to communicate expertly with clarity, credibility and influence in technical internal and external discussions.
  • Strong commercial foresight and client advisory capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong presentation, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of digital assets, tokenised money, stablecoins, CBDCs or emerging settlement technologies.
  • Deep understanding of corporate treasury operating models for large corporates and institutional clients.
  • Professional qualifications in treasury, banking, finance or project management.
