You'll join a team that delivers the origination, sales, execution and facilitation of FX transactions for SME and Mid Corporate clients, supporting these clients in key stages of their business lifecycle and providing financial markets support.
This role will focus on growing our business in new areas and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to engage with New-To-Bank clients and New-To-Product clients to manage foreign currency and commodity risk. By doing this we'll look to deliver sustainable growth across our franchise.
The market and customer facing nature of this role requires a focused, results-orientated individual with a strong interest and experience in financial markets. Candidates should be comfortable with customer interaction and either possess, or be prepared - with our full support - to obtain, the qualifications needed for booking trades, trading, and managing business development opportunities with new clients. Gaining these qualifications is key to this role as it will allow you to price and structure FX risk management solutions (e.g. spot, forwards and options) and implement them with New-To-Bank clients.
Our culture within the team is highly supportive and engaging whilst also putting emphasis on development. We encourage our teams to learn about other product areas such that we drive a holistic servicing strategy for our customers. We're keen advocates for all our product partners and ensure a strong referral process drives excellent behaviours as well as supports personal development as well as potential career opportunities.
We all share a passion for developing our digital proposition in a competitive marketplace and harnessing technology to improve the client and colleague experience. As such we're at the forefront of an investment program to build innovative digital solutions to complement the expertise on the desk. Along with the wider Business & Commercial Bank, we play a key role in Helping Britain Prosper and the successful candidate will be at the heart of this strategy.
What You’ll Need:
- Ideally, at least 5 years' experience working within a commercial FX environment, with a strong understanding of operating in a regulated financial services environment.
- Leadership & People Management Experience: Proven experience leading, line managing, mentoring and developing colleagues, including new starters and associates. Able to provide expert guidance on market trends, client requirements and the competitive landscape, while supporting day-to-day sales management and coordinating outbound prospecting activities to drive team performance and growth.
- Passionate about financial markets and skilled at explaining them to clients in response to economic and political events.
- Articulate, driven, tenacious, with a strong interest in finance and geopolitics; brings energy, curiosity, and adaptability to client interactions.
- Able to develop and present innovative solutions.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organized, with clear communication and presentation abilities.
