About this opportunity:

The Legal Entity and Securitisation team are a trusted, value adding partner to the business, supporting with month end financial control, balance sheet substantiation and statutory reporting. We are also in the middle of an ambitious Finance Transformation programme with opportunities to leverage new tooling to optimise our processes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Legal entity and securitisation reporting
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for Special Purpose Entities (SPEs) and other group entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group policies
  • Acting as a key interface with external auditors, responding to audit queries, providing supporting evidence, and managing audit timelines
  • Supporting board and governance deliverables
  • Supporting control environment and risk management activities, including QAR, SOX-style controls, and audit readiness
  • iXBRL tagging of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of FINREP Form 40 disclosures, ensuring accurate reporting of financial information in line with regulatory requirements

We have embraced hybrid working at Lloyds Banking Group and the team are generally in the Edinburgh office at least 2 days a week, which provides a great balance between working from home and collaborating in our office space.

What we’re looking for:

  • A dedicated finance professional with an accounting qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of statutory reporting experience
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the passion to contribute to the success of the function
  • A desire to improve existing processes, systems, and procedures through continuously challenging what we do and how we do it
  • Delivery driven and show a passion for producing quality work at pace
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative way to ensure the correct reporting and assist in the analysis and explanation behind the numbers

And any of these would be great:

  • Financial services sector experience
  • Experience of Microsoft 365 suite, specifically Excel
  • Proven ability to learn new systems in a short timescale
  • Experience of AI tools is desirable - Power Apps, Python etc.
