KYC Onboarding Analyst - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment in Edinburgh

This is a 12 month, full-time, fixed term contract or secondment role based in Edinburgh or Birmingham.

Salary: £33,203

HOURS: Full-time, 35 hours

What you’ll be doing:

• An exciting role has become available within our Client On-Boarding Team, to carry out Know Your Customer (KYC) On-boarding activities for the Corporate & Institutional Banking business area.
• In this role, you’ll apply Global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Standards with our policies and procedures to complete due diligence.
• You’ll spot high-risk factors that could lead to a critical issue and provide a client-first service.

In this role you’ll:

• Deliver accurate, high-quality work that supports positive outcomes for clients and colleagues.
• Build positive relationships and provide excellent service to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted point of contact, offering mentorship on processes and procedures.
• Prioritise while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
• Support Know Your Business (KYB) and KYC activities, helping ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
• Develop your expertise through ongoing training and learning opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of KYB/KYC requirements and an understanding of corporate structures and entity types.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently.
• Experience building effective relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.
• A risk and compliance mindset, with the confidence to identify and escalate issues when needed.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities.
• A customer-focused approach and a dedication to delivering high-quality outcomes.

And experience of the following would be great:

• Continuous improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma or Systems Thinking.
• Understanding of company-wide policies and how to apply them in practice.
• Technical understanding in how the Group is organised.
