This is an exciting opportunity to influence business performance within our Transport businesses, working closely with senior leaders and Finance Business Partners to support decision-making and strategic delivery.
The Transport business is undergoing significant transformation, modernising customer platforms while navigating major industry changes, including the transition to electric vehicles and evolving market conditions. As part of the Planning & Performance Reporting team, you'll help deliver the insights, reporting and planning that support strategic decision-making across Transport and Retail Finance. It's a great opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, influence business outcomes, and gain exposure to a fast-changing and highly visible area of the business!
What you’ll be doing:
- Communicating the narrative of the business’s performance and assisting in projecting future business results through the planning process.
- Delivering insightful, high-quality month-end reporting, ensuring robust controls, and serving as a specialist in management accounting.
- Developing a broad network of contacts across Finance, with collaboration between teams being crucial to your success in this role.
- Meeting individual and team objectives while investing in your personal development by improving your skills and capabilities.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified or in the final year as an accountant (ACA or equivalent experience, ACCA, CIMA).
- 12 months or more experience analysing performance and explaining drivers in movement with senior colleagues.
- 12 months or more experience maintaining strong financial control at the core of finance activities.
- The ability to demonstrate continuous improvements achieved to current processes, illustrating curiosity and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- A high collaborator who enjoys engaging with people from various areas.
- Experience in Planning/Budgeting in a Business Context would be really useful.
- Experience in Monthly Performance Reporting.
- Financial Services background.
- Confidence in using Excel/PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications.
