JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
We’ve built a newly created Lab focused on delivering resilient, secure, and customer-centric card services. As a Technical Application Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of card issuing and processing platforms, bringing deep domain expertise and technical leadership to a high-performing team.
DAY TO DAY, YOU WILL:
- Platform & Service Management: Lead the delivery of outcomes across card platforms, card issuing and processing systems. Manage BAU operations, ensure service continuity through ITIL-aligned practices, and support DR testing and IAM controls.
- Operational Delivery & Strategic Planning: Own budget delivery and conduct complex analysis across your area. Contribute to strategic planning and deliver outcomes through established data and knowledge management systems.
- Process Improvement & Change Delivery: Identify and address system and process gaps, delivering elements of change programmes. Develop product specifications and testing standards to support platform evolution.
- Security & Governance: Provide input into IT Security policy development, implement supporting procedures, and monitor compliance across your domain.
- Leadership & Capability Development: Manage and develop direct reports, set short-term objectives, and support performance management. Provide coaching and specialised training across the organisation, while investing in your own growth.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Deep Cards Domain Expertise: Proven experience in card issuing, card processing (TSYS, Fiserv, Global Processing Services (GPS) etc.)
- Technical & Operational Excellence: Strong understanding of ITIL, service management, IAM, and disaster recovery testing.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to manage teams, mentor others, and work cross-functionally to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Problem Solving & Delivery Focus: Skilled in analysing complex issues and delivering solutions within established systems and frameworks.
