Job Description Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative Business Partner to join our Colleague Communications & Experience (CC&E) business partnering team, supporting the Group COO (GCOO) function for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role is ideal for someone who’s built strong foundations in communications or engagement and is ready to deepen their business partnering skills: working closely with senior colleagues to land clear, human communications that support transformation, simplification and a better colleague experience.

You’ll help turn complex priorities into messaging that makes sense, support leaders to communicate with confidence, and contribute to high impact moments across the GCOO portfolio.

Business partnering support within Group COO:

  • Act as a day‑to‑day communications partner to leaders and teams across GCOO, providing sound advice, practical challenge and strong delivery support.
  • Work closely with senior CC&E business partners to align plans and messaging across programmes and functions.
  • Build trusted relationships by being curious about the business and responsive to what leaders and colleagues need.

Deliver clear, engaging communications:

  • Support the development and delivery of communication plans aligned to transformation, colleague experience and functional priorities.
  • Translate complex change into clear, accessible stories that help colleagues understand what’s changing and what it means for them.
  • Draft and shape content for a range of channels, ensuring a consistent and human tone of voice – supporting both internal and external communications.

Support change and leadership communications:

  • Help leaders communicate change effectively and authentically, including on priority programmes such as strategic resets.
  • Support the delivery of planned campaigns across the year, including strategy activation, MyVoice, Simply LBG and leadership visibility moments.

Insight led delivery:

  • Use listening, feedback and available data to inform communications activity and improve impact over time.
  • Produce clear summaries and insights for leadership updates and forums, with guidance from senior colleagues.

Event and moment delivery:

  • Support the planning and delivery of high impact moments such as all‑colleague calls, leadership events, strategy sessions and cross‑Group campaigns.
  • Play an active role in end‑to‑end delivery — from planning through to on‑the‑day execution and follow‑up.

AI‑enabled and simplified ways of working:

  • Use AI tools responsibly to support drafting, planning and delivery — improving pace, quality and efficiency.
  • Look for opportunities to simplify processes, reuse content and reduce duplication, sharing what works with the wider team.

Essential:

  • 5 + years experience within Internal & External Communications - ideally working with Tech & Data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex information clear and engaging.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders and adapting your style to different audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from others.
  • A curious approach to AI tools and how they can be used responsibly to improve ways of working.

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting change or transformation activity.
  • Experience using data, insight or feedback to inform communications decisions.
  • Familiarity with working in large, complex organisations.

About the team:

You’ll join a supportive, high performing CC&E business partnering team working across GCOO. We value curiosity, collaboration and simplicity, and we create space for learning, development and connection — whether you’re building confidence as a business partner or stretching into new areas.
