We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Relationship Manager to join our team in Leeds. Our team supports a portfolio of Mid Markets clients with an annual turnover of between £50m-£500m and helps grow and bring more of the bank's proposition to our customers.
You'll be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent service to our clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, making valuable contributions at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”.
- Supporting your Relationship Director and sometimes personally being seen as the “go to” banker in your geographic area of responsibility. Maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve our aim of being the best bank for clients.
- Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from working capital to term lending.
- Building relationships with Group Partner companies and our Specialist Client Solution colleagues and through them bring the whole bank to the client delivering products to meet their needs.
- Supporting our clients with their treasury management needs – exploring ways in which they can deposit their cash balances to best align with their business needs.
- Managing the risk and compliance of your client portfolio.
What we need from you:
- Proven commercial banking and mid-market experience, with strong skills in client origination, financial analysis, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and report writing.
- Results focused – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and utilising a growth mindset to focus on client outcomes.
- Growing market share of Clients & Lending - Highly proficient at building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships.
- Providing outstanding knowledge of clients - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and supporting to manage associated risks.
- People – Having a growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key tools that improve the client experience and demonstrate the value of a Face-to-Face Relationship team brings to a client’s business.
- Environmental Awareness - Promotes the bank’s image through strong ethics & integrity across a range of clients, prospects & professionals.
