About this Opportunity: This role offers an opportunity to leverage your experience and expertise in nature to support Lloyds Banking Group's sustainability ambitions. The Assistant Manager, Nature will provide technical and analytical support on nature-related topics, including the links between climate change and nature loss, focusing on assessing and managing nature-related risks.

You'll be part of the Group Sustainable Business team, which plays a central role in enabling the Group's purpose and strategy, including initiatives on affordable homes, financial empowerment, regional development, transition to net zero, and protecting nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance on the assessment and management of nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities, aligning with external frameworks.
  • Utilizing science-based frameworks and initiatives from organizations like TNFD, SBTN, IPBES, WBCSD, WEF, and UNEP-FI to inform assessments.
  • Building relationships with key partners across the Group to develop nature-related risk assessments.
  • Sharing knowledge on nature-related frameworks and the state of nature with colleagues at all levels.
  • Translating UK policy developments into analysis and strategic insights.
  • Encouraging innovative practices within the team to improve processes.

What You'll Need:

  • Understanding of global, regional, and national nature-related frameworks and policies.
  • Knowledge of the links between climate change and nature loss, and nature's role in climate mitigation and adaptation.
  • Strong data and analytical skills, experience with geospatial software like ArcGIS is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of creating presentations and reports for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships.
