About this opportunity:
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Prudential & Analytics Platform, supporting the transformation of our commercial model execution, analytics engines, and enterprise data warehouse! You'll play a key role in modernising our cloud-native analytics and data processing platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enabling scalable, reliable and data-driven capabilities that support critical pricing, risk and finance functions across the organisation! This is an opportunity to work on large-scale analytics platforms, data pipelines and data warehouse solutions, using GCP, Python, SQL and modern DevOps practices. Your work will contribute directly to delivering high-quality analytical services used across the Group.
What you'll do:
- Design, build and deliver cloud-native software and data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Modernise legacy analytics capabilities into automated, observable and scalable cloud services.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, analytics engines and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Optimise BigQuery workloads, including performance tuning and cost optimisation.
- Support containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling and automation to improve engineering quality and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, architects and engineering peers.
