Responsibilities
- Lead and shape supplier relationships across contracts, ensuring delivery, governance and performance outcomes are consistently achieved.
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts from start to finish, ensuring alignment with policy frameworks and business goals.
- Apply supplier governance and risk frameworks with rigor, maintaining robust audit trails and full compliance with Group policy.
- Own the development and ongoing readiness of exit and continuity plans, evaluating them regularly and ensuring effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate operational risk actively.
- Use data to analyse supplier performance and influence decisions, translating complex data into clear, actionable insight.
- Maintain a strong emphasis on customer outcomes, applying structured analysis to address issues and provide effective solutions.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with collaborators at all levels and influence priorities across teams.
- Lead and support contract activity throughout the lifecycle, employing commercial judgement to secure value, raise performance and maintain supplier accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven background in managing suppliers throughout the entire process, securing delivery, performance, resilience and value.
- Experience in anticipating supplier risks and acting early to protect service and customer outcomes.
- Experience managing contracts and supporting negotiations during all phases of the lifecycle, driving value, performance and innovation through supplier collaboration.
- Leadership skills with the ability to lead a small team (2–5 colleagues), set clear direction, provide accountability and support development.
- Strong stakeholder management capability, engaging senior stakeholders, including director level.
- Comprehensive understanding of supplier governance, operational risk and compliance requirements.
- Excellent data analysis and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights.
- Strong communication and influence abilities, adapting style to different audiences and using story‑led communication.
- Innovative mindset, able to simplify, automate and improve processes, leveraging emerging technology.
