Responsibilities
- As a Strategy Director, you will lead and contribute to complex strategic initiatives across CIB and the wider Group.
- Developing recommendations on high‑profile topics, combining deep analysis and original research to advise decisions at GEC and Board level.
- Supporting the execution of these strategies and translating them into real outcomes.
- Shaping the Group’s corporate strategy, assessing the evolving operating environment and competitive landscape to ensure continued customer satisfaction and long‑term shareholder value.
- Producing insightful analysis on competitors, challenger banks and wider market trends, identifying themes with strategic implications.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years’ experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking or consulting, with exposure to complex financial services environments.
- Proven track record of analysing large, complex datasets and translating insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Strong experience supporting or delivering strategic initiatives such as M&A, disposals or transformation programmes.
- Ability to engage senior partners and contribute to Executive and Board‑level discussions, producing high‑quality materials for diverse audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market dynamics, competitors and investor expectations.
- Experience of strategy in the context of operations/technology is beneficial.
