As a Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst, you'll join our Commercial Analytics team at an exciting stage of that journey.

Working with modern cloud technologies, Generative BI capabilities and advanced analytics tools, you'll help turn complex data into clear, commercially meaningful insights that improve customer outcomes and drive business performance.

You'll work alongside colleagues across Savings, Pricing, Product, Platform and Analytics teams, using large-scale datasets and advanced analytical techniques to solve real business challenges.

From understanding customer behaviour and identifying commercial opportunities to shaping pricing decisions and supporting strategic outcomes, your work will have genuine impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with technologies including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Looker, Power BI and emerging conversational analytics capabilities.

You'll be joining at a pivotal time as we continue to expand our use of AI-powered analytics, conversational insight experiences and modern cloud technologies.

Whether you're already working with Generative BI or looking to deepen your expertise in this rapidly evolving area, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, work with innovative technologies and help shape how analytics is delivered across one of the UK's largest organisations.

Day to day, you'll

  • Develop and deliver advanced analytics and Generative BI solutions that support smarter business decisions and create measurable value
  • Work with large-scale datasets using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery and modern analytics tools to uncover actionable insights
  • Build semantic models and self-service analytics capabilities that power conversational analytics and AI-enabled insight experiences
  • Partner with stakeholders across Savings, Pricing, Product and Platform teams to translate business priorities into analytical solutions
  • Transform complex analysis into compelling stories, recommendations and visualisations for audiences ranging from technical specialists to senior leaders
  • Support the adoption of emerging AI capabilities, responsible data practices and continuous improvement across the Group

Some of the things you'll need…

  • 3+ years’ experience delivering analytics, business intelligence or data science solutions in a commercial environment
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly GCP and BigQuery
  • Experience using data to solve business problems, identify opportunities and influence decision making
  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear and engaging insight
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions or self-service analytics capabilities
  • A curious mindset and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, analytics and AI
  • Experience working with Generative BI, conversational analytics or AI-enabled insight solutions, helping make data more accessible and decision-making more intuitive
  • Experience developing dashboards, semantic models and self-service analytics capabilities using tools such as Looker, LookML and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Python and advanced analytical techniques
  • An understanding of data governance, responsible AI principles and analytical best practice
