We have an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Business & Commercial Banking team in the London & East Trading Region supporting clients in the Manufacturing, Wholesale and Consumer sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a great client experience, whilst identifying opportunities to grow income, balance sheet & market share and managing any associated risks. They will do this in a way that continually seeks to improve professional standards and by being an expert user of colleague tools to drive added value to the client. Working in partnership with the Client Relationship Team, the role holder will be responsible for building powerful internal & external networks to bring the whole bank to the client. The majority of their time will be spent interacting with existing clients, prospects and introducers. They will also be responsible for their own personal development and are expected to be agile and work with digital technology to improve their own personal effectiveness.

Job Description- Managing a portfolio of existing clients with all of their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services & products.
- Originating and developing new high profile client relationships, putting the client at the heart of what you do, adding customer value at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”.
- Identifying and evaluating expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
- Analysing the opportunity in the local market and proactively prospecting for new, high value SME clients whose needs we can support with a range of products and solutions.
- Being present and active to ensure Lloyds’ brand and message is clearly understood to ensure professionals and prospect businesses approach us for support.
- Establishing relationships with group partner companies and through them bringing the whole bank to the client, delivering products to meet their needs.
- Being accountable for the credit, compliance and operational risk across your client portfolio.
- Supporting clients with developing ESG strategies and supporting their journey to Net Zero.
- Previous commercial banking experience with a proven track record delivering in a fast paced results driven environment.
- Validated credit experience and be skilled at evaluating propositions to make confident and effective commercial recommendations.
- Strong business origination experience with the ability to demonstrate how you're wired into local networks with extensive connections in the professional space.
- Skilled team player as well as a proven self starter with a drive and passion to succeed individually and as part of the wider team.
- Strong communication skills with experience in building, creating and maintaining relationships with clients and influential external partners.
