Job Overview
We are looking for a Relationship Director to join our highly successful Real Estate & Housing Team within Commercial Banking Coverage. In this role you will provide outstanding support for businesses in the Real Estate SME sector across the Midlands and Northwest, managing a defined portfolio of SME client relationships, delivering excellent client experience, and identifying opportunities to grow income, balance sheet and market share.
Responsibilities
- Grow income, balance sheet and client numbers while managing associated risks.
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships focused on the Real Estate sector.
- Identify client needs and develop strategies to meet those needs, leveraging product, coverage and support teams.
- Undertake lending assessments and implement appropriate client solutions.
- Respond to client key moments of truth, including lending that cannot be fulfilled by the Client Relationship Team.
- Maintain a balance between risk and reward, ensuring that all lending and contingent liabilities meet the Bank’s asset quality and policy requirements.
- Position yourself as the “go-to” banker in your geographic area of responsibility.
- Build and maintain high profile with external influencers and the local business community.
- Create and utilise effective partnerships with pooled support in the Client Relationship Team.
- Promote the Bank’s image and collaborate with Business Development, Product Partners and others to develop new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, credit and asset quality standards, reporting, legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Highly proficient at building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals.
- Specialist credit and real estate sector knowledge.
- At least 3 years of proven experience delivering excellent client experiences and growing business.
- Track record of winning new clients, growing business and delivering measurable results.
