Responsibilities

  • Lead a complex operation supporting customers across Business & Commercial Banking.
  • Support the delivery of the securities strategy across the UK and India, driving operational performance, transformation and customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with third‑party operational partners and internal stakeholders to deliver strong customer, performance and risk outcomes, supporting the expansion of the global operating model.
  • Lead service transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer journeys and increase operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen the risk and control environment through effective oversight, continuous improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the wider Group, supporting key business initiatives and contributing to Lending Operations success.
  • Develop colleagues, providing coaching and mentoring to help individuals and teams achieve their full potential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an operational leader or improvement & change delivery in commercial banking, lending operations or regulated financial services.
  • Solid understanding of the end‑to‑end commercial lending lifecycle, including securities and collateral management processes.
  • Proven experience delivering strong operational, customer and risk outcomes while managing an effective control environment.
  • Experience leading or supporting large‑scale transformation, process improvement, digitisation or automation initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Experience working within global or multi‑location operations, with ability to collaborate across business areas and external service providers.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks, control improvement programmes and maintaining a robust control environment.
  • Proven ability to mentor, develop and empower colleagues to deliver excellent customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience with Business Process Outsourcing and delivery of process efficiencies and enhancements is an advantage.
