Position Overview
Customer Support – a part‑time, branch‑based role working 31.5 hours per week.
This position is located at Lloyds Newcastle Monument Mall and Halifax Haymarket Metro Station, with work across both Lloyds and Halifax branches.
Working Pattern & Schedule
The week is structured as follows
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
- Tuesday: Scheduled non‑working day
To support changing customer demand, these hours may need to be adjusted; any changes will be discussed in advance.

- What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide face‑to‑face support to customers at branch.
- Handle everyday banking tasks while focusing on helping people through important moments—bereavement support, fraud concerns, vulnerable customer support, and building confidence with digital banking.
- Promote and support digital services, helping customers use online and mobile banking independently.
- Recognise opportunities to connect customers with appropriate products and services.
- Adapt to different customer needs and work as part of a team to meet customer expectations.
- What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 12 months customer‑service experience.
- Honest, genuine, caring attitude towards helping people with their finances (no prior financial services experience required).
- Ability to quickly build relationships and deliver a fantastic customer experience.
- Passion for empathy, acting with care and integrity, resolving queries and giving customers confidence in the service provided.
- Commitment to deliver on promises and go above and beyond for customers.
- Team‑player, collaborating closely with colleagues to meet customer needs.
