What you’ll be doing...

In this role, you’ll partner with a cross-functional team to design, build and ship small, high-quality features, using strong iOS engineering skills to deliver innovative, customer-facing experiences. Along the way, you’ll sweat the details, spot opportunities to add extra value for users, and keep the app fast and reliable by fixing bugs and continuously improving performance. The role is to support the integration of Curve into LBG and the launch of the Lloyds Wallet and Pi3 too.

You’re an exceptional developer of mobile applications with a solid focus on iOS. You don’t just put your head down and code. You’re constantly seeking a better way to do things, a cleaner, more intuitive interaction. You’ve studied the most popular mobile apps and you have well-articulated theories about why they are designed the way they are. You know what makes these apps so effective and what you would do to make the Curve app even better.

This position requires collaboration with designers, product managers and other team members of our engineering team. If you’re thrilled by the idea of ownership, passionate about creating new features and services from scratch, and think you can manage the ambiguity and pace, we would love to hear from you.

If you think all banks are the same, you’re wrong. We’re a pioneering, fast-changing business that’s shaping finance as a force for good. If you’re after a role where you can have an impact and do the best work of your career, you’ve just found it.

  • 5+ years’ experience in building apps with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency
  • You're experienced developing apps that delight users, having shipped one or more apps to the App Store.
  • You’ll have experience writing tests (unit test, integration test, UI test etc.).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
  • A genuine interest in working in a fast-paced startup, ideally in fintech or payments.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you...
