The Business & Commercial Banking team in the London & East Trading Region supports clients in the Manufacturing, Wholesale and Consumer sectors. The role is part of the Trading sector and focuses on delivering outstanding support for SMEs. You will be responsible for delivering a great client experience, identifying opportunities to grow income, balance sheet and market share, and managing any associated risks, while continuously improving professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a client experience that builds trust and drives value.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to grow income, balance sheet and market share.
- Manage credit, compliance and operational risk across the client portfolio.
- Use colleague tools to drive added value and improve professional standards.
- Build powerful internal and external networks to bring the whole bank to the client.
- Interact with existing clients, prospects and introducers.
- Support clients in developing ESG strategies and moving towards Net Zero.
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients, including lending, deposits and other services.
- Originating and developing new high-profile client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor.
- Analyse local market opportunities and proactively prospect for high-value SME clients.
- Represent the Lloyds brand and message to ensure professionals and prospect businesses approach us for support.
- Establish relationships with group partner companies and deliver products to meet client needs.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial banking experience with a proven track record in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Validated credit experience and the ability to evaluate propositions to make confident commercial recommendations.
- Strong business origination experience and extensive connections in the professional space.
- Self-starter with a drive and passion to succeed individually and as part of the wider team.
- Strong communication skills and experience in building, creating and maintaining relationships with clients and influential external partners.
