About this opportunity: We are looking for a Motion Designer to help shape the future of Private Banking, bringing clarity and elegance to complex financial journeys through engaging and imaginative motion. You will craft visionary narratives, choreograph and animate UI, and bring explainers to life that build trust and guide internal stakeholders through new opportunities and desired experiences for customers. Working as part of a newly formed squad within the Discovery team, you will collaborate with UX, Service Design, Research, Brand, Product Owners, and Proposition Leads to deliver experiences that meet the unique needs of Private Banking customers.

About the Discovery team: Our Discovery team is a newly formed and highly ambitious collective of multidisciplinary practitioners. We collaborate with teams across the business to explore signals of change and future drivers, generate spaces of opportunity while co-shaping new propositions, ecosystems and services that empower people.

  • Define the motion language for Private Banking experiences, establishing principles for pacing, easing, hierarchy and feedback that scale across journeys, products and platforms.
  • Design micro interactions and animated UI (navigation, transitions, state changes, feedback, onboarding) that enhance clarity and build confidence for affluent customers.
  • Create story driven artefacts like storyboards, animatics, product trailers and explainers that simplify complex propositions and align collaborators around a shared vision.
  • Prototype at multiple fidelities using Figma, After Effects to validate concepts with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and facilitate, running workshops and crits, translating research insights into motion concepts, and presenting compelling narratives to senior, cross functional and non-technical audiences.
  • Operate at pace in agile discovery and delivery cycles, balancing bold creative exploration with pragmatic, high quality execution.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in 2D motion design is preferred, ideally across digital products.
  • Expertise in After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • A strong understanding of animation principles, pacing and easing.
  • Outstanding visual craft, with a sharp ability for design, composition, rhythm and detail.
  • Ability to interpret and extend brand guidelines through motion, ensuring coherence and distinctiveness.
  • Able to create engaging and relatable narratives, and build stories in a collaborative team.
