Job Description Summary:
We’re looking for a talented Mobile Software Engineer - Android to help build and evolve Curve’s next generation mobile experience. Working within a cross-functional engineering team, you'll design, build and deliver secure, scalable and high-performing Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers and backend engineers to create intuitive, consumer-facing features that delight users and make managing money simpler. You'll champion engineering excellence, continuously improve application performance, mentor other developers, and help shape robust development practices as Curve continues its ambitious growth journey.

What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience developing and shipping Android applications to the Google Play Store
- Strong experience building Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Experience developing secure, scalable and high-performance mobile applications
- Strong understanding of Android architecture, design patterns and SOLID principles
- Experience with Clean Architecture and object-oriented programming
- Deep understanding of Android components including Activities, Fragments, Services, Content Providers and Broadcast Receivers
- Knowledge of Android lifecycle management and best practices
- Experience monitoring application performance and debugging production issues
- Experience writing automated tests including unit, integration and UI tests
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Experience collaborating with designers, product managers and backend engineers
- Experience building and maintaining multi-module applications
- Ability to mentor and support fellow engineers while promoting engineering best practices
And it would be great if you had any of the following:
- Experience with Android CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Knowledge of third-party Android libraries and services
- Experience defining and shaping mobile-friendly backend services
- Experience optimising application performance at scale
- Previous experience working within a fast-paced fintech or consumer technology environment

- Experience building new features and services from scratch in ambiguous environments
