Job Description Summary:

We're looking for an experienced technology risk and control leader to help shape the future of our control environment! As Head of Control, you'll play a critical role in helping us rethink how risk and control operate within a modern technology organisation. Rather than relying on traditional, retrospective controls, you'll help design and embed automated, preventative and real-time controls that support safe, resilient and efficient delivery across our technology landscape!

Working at the intersection of Technology, Engineering, Data, AI and Risk, you'll partner with senior leaders to ensure controls are embedded into products, platforms and processes from the outset. You'll help shape the evolution of our control environment as we continue our journey towards cloud-native technologies, AI-enabled services and modern engineering practices.

We're looking for someone who combines deep technical risk and control expertise with strong communication and collaborator management skills. You'll be equally comfortable discussing control automation with engineering teams, influencing senior technology leaders and helping the business understand how effective controls can support innovation and growth.

This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to influence strategy, drive meaningful change at scale and lead a high-performing team across one of the UK's largest and most complex technology environments.

If you think all banks are the same, you’d be wrong. We’re a forward-thinking, fast-moving organisation that’s transforming finance into a force for good.
