As the Lab’s Lead Product Owner, you have a pivotal role to partner with the Lloyds Wealth business, building and delivering the Lab’s ambitious strategy.
The Waterfront Platform is accountable for delivering a truly differentiated digital proposition, transforming the way people plan, protect and save, to enable everyone in the UK to secure their financial future, alongside growing our human-led, digitally-enabled advice business. The Lloyds Wealth Lab will lead the development of the new Wealth client experience in the Lloyds App, creating a seamless client experience, optimising the adviser experience, helping to close the UK advice gap.
We deliver on a range of initiatives using agile tools and methodologies to iteratively release value for clients and the Group, aligning to our purpose of Help Britain Prosper; the Lab and our colleagues will make a difference individually and collectively, through the work we do to get the right outcomes for the client.

- Creating and managing the experience strategy for the new Lloyds Wealth experience, in collaboration with Lloyds Wealth Business and teams across IP&I and Brands, Marketing & Experience.
- Providing direction and vision to product owners, making sure teams prioritise the right things to deliver value to customers and collaborators.
- Ensuring all Product Owners, Customer Journey Managers, Engineering Leads and Senior Integrators understand the priorities and how they can add customer value through delivery, both individually and as a team.
- Being accountable for the Journey Management, including optimisations to reduce Client and Adviser pain-points, reducing costs to serve and creating increased value delivery.
- Working with the Lab Engineering Lead to ensure the Lab has sufficient skills, knowledge and capacity to deliver.
- Being accountable for performance against the Platform and CIO Lab level key results including but not limited to cost of ownership, contributions to key outcomes through backlog delivery, simplification, and customer satisfaction.
- Being responsible for handling risks associated with the products, with the Lab teams and the Lab Engineering Lead to ensure the vision and roadmap aligns with the strategy and policies set out by the platform.
- Setting the culture for the teams associated with the Lab, fostering collaborative and empowered teams that take ownership of outcomes, encouraging innovation, and minimising risk through data-driven testing and learning.
What you’ll need:

- 5+ years Product Owner experience, leading and being responsible for a backlog where you’ve made priority decisions.
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with collaborators up to director level as well as being able to lead all aspects of a delivery team that is multi-location UK and India.
- Experience to plan and run resources and budgets, ensuring the production of outstanding product features.
- Understand RAID management and demonstrate examples of running delivery risks and escalation of these at the appropriate time and level.
- Have a level of understanding of technology, particularly advice tools, Client Relationship Management (CRM), and digital technology.
