We're looking for an experienced product leader to lead one of our newly set up labs and take ownership of the Personal Current Account product portfolio. You'll be responsible for defining and evolving our current account products, ensuring they meet customer needs, deliver strong commercial outcomes and comply with regulatory requirements. Leading a team of senior product leads, you'll shape product strategy, oversee product development and work across business, technology, risk and operations teams to bring new propositions to market and improve existing products. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong strategic thinking, commercial judgement, stakeholder management and experience operating within a regulated environment. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of UK's largest current account portfolio.

Salary: £106,565 - £125,370 pa

Location: Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh and Manchester

Hours: Full time - 35 hours

Working pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

We're looking for a Head Product Lead to lead the strategy, development and ongoing management of our Personal Current Account product portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role within Everyday Banking, responsible for some of the most important customer products in the Group. You'll shape the future of our current account propositions, ensuring they continue to meet customer needs, deliver strong commercial outcomes and align with evolving regulatory requirements. The role sits at the heart of product ownership, bringing together proposition development, pricing, governance, risk management and product performance. You'll play a key role in determining how our products evolve, using customer insight, market intelligence and business performance data to inform strategic decisions and investment priorities.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, balancing customer, commercial and regulatory considerations and leading through change. You'll bring a pragmatic approach to decision making and be comfortable operating in a fast-moving and highly regulated environment.

  • Leading the strategy, development and lifecycle management of our Personal Current Account products.

  • Product Strategy & Product Management: Experience defining product vision and strategy, leading complex product portfolios and translating long-term goals into clear priorities, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Commercial Decision Making: Strong commercial awareness, with experience balancing customer needs, business goals, technology considerations and risk requirements to drive sustainable growth and customer value. Experience managing budgets, forecasts and investment decisions.
  • Data-Driven Insight & Customer Focus: Ability to use customer insight, market intelligence, experimentation and performance data to identify and explore opportunities, improve customer outcomes and inform strategic decision making.
  • Risk & Regulatory Management: Experience operating within a regulated and controlled environment, with strong governance, risk and regulatory awareness across the product lifecycle. This role has significant accountability for product governance, pricing and regulatory compliance.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influencing: Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior collaborators across business, technology, operations and risk functions, aligning priorities and driving successful outcomes.
  • People Leadership & Organisational Capability: Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, building capability and creating an inclusive environment where colleagues can learn, collaborate and thrive through change and complexity.
