Position Overview

The Colleague Relations Senior Manager will shape and deliver colleague and industrial relations strategies across the Group, building trust, supporting complex change, and fostering an inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape colleague relations strategy and influence key people policies.
  • Lead trusted partnerships with unions, People Forums and senior stakeholders.
  • Provide expert industrial and employment relations advice to guide complex change.
  • Use insight and data to drive informed decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovative ways of working.
  • Deliver high-impact projects that support colleagues and the business.
  • Manage risk and navigate complex challenges with confidence and credibility.
  • Coach and develop others, building capability across the organisation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of industrial relations law, employment law and ACAS Codes of Practice.
  • Up-to-date understanding of external industrial relations and employment law practices.
  • Good external network and experience negotiating with recognised unions and People Forums.
  • Analytical skills for using data to shape recommendations and responses.
  • Proven experience delivering large, complex programmes with cross functional teams.
  • Experience developing functional or operational policies, procedures and monitoring implementation.
  • Understanding of risk management policy development and implementation.
  • Ability to develop and coach others to build organisational capability.
  • Relevant transferable experience is welcomed.
