About This Opportunity: We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Integrator to join the Investment Change Platform team within Insurance, Pensions, and Investment (IP&I). IP&I supports over 10 million customers with their investment, retirement, and insurance needs through its multi-product, multi-channel offering. Scottish Widows is one of the UK’s most trusted providers, committed to delivering better outcomes through outstanding investment solutions, customer engagement, and digitisation. We’re continually evolving to meet customers where they are and empowering their financial futures.
You’ll work in an agile, purposeful environment coordinating dependencies between stakeholders external to the Investment Change Platform to ensure the delivery of business change initiatives in support of our investment strategy and objectives. The role will also be key in ensuring that we meet the evolving needs of our customers and the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Cross-Team Delivery Management: Responsible for enabling the delivery of change by leading activities that span multiple platforms. Identify and handle both internal and external dependencies, working closely with Product Owners and Engineers rather than other Integrators.
- Relationship Building and Consensus: Develop and enhance key relationships to improve change delivery outcomes. Your experience helps handle conflicting priorities by facilitating discussions, resolving issues, and persuading stakeholders to consider alternative perspectives.
- Effective Communication and Issue Resolution: Provide regular status updates to key partners and take ownership of high-priority issues affecting delivery. Lead critical risks, issues, and dependencies identified through status reporting and agile meetings, ensuring timely resolution.
- Process Innovation and Agility: Drive innovation by challenging existing processes, adopting change early, and view technological advancements as opportunities to enhance customer delivery.
- Inspiring Leadership and Collaboration: Inspire others by building rapport and gaining commitment through a strong personal identity. Embrace diverse viewpoints and demonstrate inclusive collaboration in your approach to business.
- Embrace a dedication to continuous learning: Embrace a learning approach passionate about development, remaining open to new experiences, and intentionally building both individual and team capabilities.
What you’ll need:
- Financial Services Expertise: Significant experience within the UK financial services sector, ideally in a Project Management/Technical Delivery Management role or similar.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Confirmed experience working across business and engineering teams to deliver integrated, customer-focused solutions.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Able to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer outcomes, with the ability to identify unmet needs and deliver value beyond expectations.
- Change & Agile Delivery: Skilled in leading change within large-scale programmes, with hands-on experience working in agile environments, particularly in Jira and/or Jira Align.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in building trusted relationships with senior leaders and influencing strategic direction through strong communication and leadership.
- Reporting & Governance: Experience in planning, tracking, reporting and governance; experience in communicating regular status updates to key senior colleagues and resolves high priority issues affecting delivery.
- Decision-Making & Risk Management: Shown ability to build consensus, lead opposing priorities, and resolve critical risks and issues to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
