Relationship Manager - SME Healthcare

LOCATION: Cardiff

SALARY: Competitive package available

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office in Cardiff or meeting clients.

You’ll be responsible for supporting clients within the Healthcare SME portfolio with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio through bringing more of the banks proposition to your existing clients, whilst ensuring the effective management of risk. This role is an integral part of the local market, developing business opportunity, and representing the group in the professional community. You’ll be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience and support your wider team and region to achieve their objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio, by attracting high value clients, through becoming the go to banking professional within your local community.

  • Providing excellent service to our clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, adding value at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”.
  • Promoting the bank with professionals and key influencers through your knowledge of the local market.
  • Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from our Term Lending and Working Capital product range tailoring them to client needs.
  • Building relationships with Group Partner companies and through them bring the whole bank to the client delivering products to meet their needs.
  • Handling the risk and compliance of your client portfolio.
  • Active engagement in local & regional activities.
  • Developing your own capability and taking responsibility for supporting senior management in progression of your team.

What You’ll Need

  • Supporting sustainable business growth – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and utilising a growth mind set to focus on client outcomes.
  • Growing market share of Clients & Lending - Highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships.
  • Providing outstanding knowledge of clients - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge along with all available digital tools to deliver excellent client experiences whilst identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share and handling associated risks.
  • People – Having a growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key tools that enhance the client experience and demonstrate the value a Face‑to‑Face Relationship Manager brings to a client’s business.
  • Environmental Awareness - Promoting the bank’s image through strong ethics & integrity across a range of clients, prospects & professionals.
