Location: London or Edinburgh
Hours: Full-time. Hybrid working: spending at least two days per week (≈40%) at a London or Edinburgh office. Colleagues with disabilities supported with workplace adjustments in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Help shape the transition to a more sustainable economy by working with some of the UK’s largest corporate and institutional clients.
- Support Lloyds Banking Group's purpose of Helping Britain Prosper by contributing to climate transition strategies.
- Lead a large-scale transition assessment programme, coordinating delivery, quality, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Shape the use of AI and data to improve climate assessments, collaborating with technology, risk, and governance teams to support responsible innovation.
- Use data and market insights to strengthen climate transition capabilities and support advisory work, sustainable finance opportunities and client engagement.
- Collaborate with Sustainable and Transition Finance, Coverage, ESG Risk, and Group Sustainability to deliver meaningful client outcomes.
- Support business growth and contribute to Lloyds Banking Group’s leadership in sustainable finance.
What we’re looking for:
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in ESG, climate, sustainability, sustainable finance or related advisory roles, with a track record of leading complex projects and delivering meaningful outcomes.
- Strong ability to translate climate, sustainability and ESG trends into a commercial context for client engagement.
- Experience working with data, analytical tools and insights to support decision making, identify opportunities, and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex sustainability topics in a clear, engaging and commercially relevant way.
- Experience leading teams, programmes or workstreams, taking ownership for delivery, quality and outcomes while supporting the development of others.
- Desirable: experience in one or more of adaptation and resilience, just transition, nature integration, energy transition, sustainable transport, green buildings, sustainable supply chains, circular economy, or sustainable food systems.
