About this opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful Business & Commercial Banking Real Estate Team in London & the Southeast team. We’re looking for a passionate and driven Relationship Manager to take ownership of a high-profile SME Real Estate portfolio. It is a strategically important portfolio with strong growth potential. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing client confidence, retaining existing business, and driving new opportunities. You’ll work with investment and development Real Estate businesses within the local area, helping them unlock their potential through tailored financial solutions. You’ll be the face of Lloyds Bank to existing and new clients, building trust, delivering value, and driving growth in a sector where relationship management and expertise is key.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Managing a portfolio of client relationships with a focus on the Real Estate sector.
  • Accountable for growing income, balance sheet and client numbers, whilst also managing any associated risks.
  • To be seen as the “go to” banker in their geographic area of responsibility.
  • Maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve the Bank’s stated aim of being the best bank for clients.
  • Identifying client needs and developing client strategies to meet those needs, leveraging product, coverage and support teams where relevant.
  • Undertaking lending assessments and implementing appropriate client solutions.
  • You’ll be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience and support your wider team and region to work towards their goals.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Results focused – You'll take personal responsibility for delivering results, whilst readily accepting change and focussing on client outcomes.
  • New client acquisition – Highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with external professionals and adept at winning good volumes of higher value new client relationships.
  • Specialist knowledge – Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge, along with all available digital tools, to deliver excellent client experiences.
  • Identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share, whilst always ensuring the effective management of risk.
  • People – Have a growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key enablers that enhance the client experience and demonstrate the value a Face to Face Relationship Manager brings to a client’s business.
  • Risk management – You’ll demonstrate strong risk management skills, requiring attention to detail and a pro‑active approach to anticipating potential risks.
