The Embedded Finance team at LBG brings all of these dimensions together, to deliver responsible and targeted solutions that are loved by our customers. With the Embedded Finance market growing at >20% in the UK, we are looking for a dynamic individual to support the ambitious growth in our Embedded Finance business. You will play a critical part in realising the potential of our innovative new products, acquiring commercial relationships across a broad range of existing and new customers. If you’re motivated by the opportunity to be part of something exciting, then this could be the role for you!

What you'll be doing: This is an opportunity to join one of the most exciting growth areas within Lloyds Banking Group and play a key role in helping expand our Embedded Finance business. Embedded Finance is transforming how customers access financial services, and we're investing in new partnerships, propositions and customer experiences that bring finance seamlessly into everyday journeys. As a Business Development Manager, you'll help identify, secure and develop commercial partnerships that support the continued growth of our Embedded Finance proposition. Working closely with the Business Development Senior Manager and a range of stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Risk and Finance teams, you'll help build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective partners, support merchant acquisition activity and contribute to bringing new opportunities from initial engagement through to launch. You'll play an important role in developing partner relationships, supporting commercial proposals and onboarding new merchants, ensuring opportunities are delivered effectively and in line with governance requirements. You'll use customer insight, market knowledge and commercial thinking to help identify growth opportunities and deliver positive outcomes for partners, customers and the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their business development and partnership management experience within a fast-growing area of Lloyds Banking Group, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders, innovative propositions and significant commercial opportunities.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years' experience in business development, sales, partnerships or merchant acquisition roles.
  • Experience building and managing commercial relationships, identifying new opportunities and delivering business growth.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence colleagues, partners and customers.
  • Experience developing customer-focused solutions, commercial proposals or partnership opportunities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Experience within Embedded Finance, fintech, payments or broader financial services would be great.
  • Experience across transport, mobility, automotive, lifestyle, home or adjacent partnership-led sectors.
  • Experience supporting merchant onboarding, partner implementation or product integration activities.
  • Experience working with commercial, product or proposition teams to bring new opportunities to market.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

We offer a wide‑ranging benefits package, including:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance‑related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can tailor to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
