Job Title: Associate, Portfolio Coverage Team Location: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London Hours: Full time Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week, or 60% of our time, at one of our office sites. What you’ll be doing:

Are you ready to build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities and make an impact across a diverse corporate portfolio? The Portfolio Coverage Team sits within Corporate & Institutional Coverage and supports a wide range of corporate clients across the UK. As an Associate, you'll work closely with Relationship Managers, Product, Coverage and Risk teams to help deliver tailored solutions, strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities. You'll support the management of a large and diverse portfolio of trading clients, helping to identify and understand customer needs, analyse trends, manage risk and deliver excellent, sustainable client outcomes, including complex exits. Along the way, you'll develop your knowledge of corporate banking while working in a collaborative, high-performing team that values initiative, creativity and partnership.

Why join us?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group an excellent place for everyone. Including you.

What we’re looking for?

  • 2+ years experience of corporate or commercial banking with an understanding of products and services used by corporate clients
  • Experience supporting Relationship Managers or client-facing teams with corporate or larger business clients
  • Knowledge of credit, conduct and operational risk processes
  • An understanding of risk management, customer needs and operational/service delivery in a financial services or regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and across internal teams such as Coverage, Product, Risk and Operations
  • Good analytical skills, with experience using information, client data or research to identify themes, trends, issues and opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining information clearly and supporting strong client outcomes
  • A proactive, organised and resilient approach, with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team
  • And any experience of these would be great: Portfolio management, relationship management support, client service or a similar financial services environment. Experience using client relationship management systems or portfolio management tools

This is a place for you:

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities, and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative. We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns. And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long-term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme. We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need. We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping 28 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
