The Role

To support Lloyd’s sustainability disclosures and reporting by coordinating qualitative content and quantitative data collection, and by assisting with sustainability and carbon data processing (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) under the direction of the Sustainability Reporting Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Sustainability Reporting
  • Assist the Sustainability Reporting Manager with Lloyd’s global sustainability reporting requirements and disclosure deliverables;
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business to obtain narrative content and quantitative data for reporting, tracking actions to agreed timelines;
  • Support drafting and editing of technical reporting content (as directed), ensuring alignment between narrative and supporting data;
  • Assist in responding to regulatory consultations to uphold the interests of the Corporation and the Lloyd’s Market;
  • Carry out peer reviews and industry research to support internal understanding of sustainability reporting landscape and execution;
  • Help to maintain an up-to-date view of data and disclosure requirements, and availability for global reporting requirements.
  • Sustainability Data & Measurement
    • Support the Sustainability Analytics Manager with sustainability data collection, cleaning and processing;
    • Support carbon accounting for Scopes 1, 2 and 3 (including Financed and Insurance Associated Emissions) by helping gather activity data, maintaining data records, and supporting checks that underpin calculations and disclosures;
    • Help maintain data quality and auditability by documenting sources, assumptions and version control for reporting inputs;
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, templates and trackers to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • General
    • Support preparation of sustainability information for external requests (e.g., regulators or rating agencies) as required and under supervision;
    • Work collaboratively within the wider International Finance team, escalating risks/issues early and contributing to a positive, inclusive team culture;
    • Assist the wider International Finance team with data preparation and filings for international financial reporting requirements, as required.

    Skills

    • Comfortable writing and editing technical reports and supporting documentation;

    • Excellent attention to detail;
    • Proactive and able to work independently, while enjoying being part of a team;
    • Experienced and comfortable using large datasets in Excel (e.g., structuring, cleaning, checking, summarising);
    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new tools and software;
    • Comfortable working in both qualitative (narrative) and quantitative (data-driven) environments.
