About the role
Lloyd & Whyte, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Trainee Account Executive to join our Community Broking team, based in their Taunton office. This role will be part of a personalised development and training plan, with a view to progressing to Account Executive level within a 12-18 month period; the ideal next step for those wishing to progress within their insurance career. The core purpose of this role will be to help deliver existing and new business income targets, focusing on the provision of expert client advice, relationship building and sales as well as pipeline management supporting the business strategy. Key responsibilities
- Achieve individual and team targets as set and agreed
- Provision of existing business client service; dealing and assisting with client queries, mid-term adjustments, and renewals
- Supporting business managers with the identification of new prospects, decision-makers, and renewal dates, using own research, building prospect databases, and being proactive in support of new business strategy
- Handling and supporting with the potential reorganisation of new leads and client meetings
- Maintain a comprehensive diary system and activity log to manage day-to-day income generation
- Provide professional support and advice to customers through client review methods delivering high levels of service ensuring clients’ needs are met and expectations are exceeded
- Ongoing focus on relationship management with existing key clients through various channels
- Work closely with Insurance Consultants and Account Handlers to administer both new and existing policies
- Ensure there is focus on collection of client money within company guidelines
- Maintain and develop own technical competence in line with client review focus
- To be professional when representing Lloyd & Whyte CB at external events, e.g., relevant conferences/events and customer visits
- Support colleagues from all areas of the business as required
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience within the UK Insurance Industry
- Previous experience within an Insurance Adviser/Consultant role
- Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance (hold or working towards)
- Confident and capable in communicating, managing relationships, and building rapport with clients face to face to provide an excellent client experience
- Ability to provide holistic, advice-based reviews and recommendations to clients
- Tenacious, positive and proactive towards new challenges and opportunities
- Motivated & enthusiastic towards meeting and exceeding targets
- Resourceful, organised, and deadline-driven with good time management and self-motivation
