Our client is seeking a Head of Procurement to join their senior management team and successfully lead the sourcing and supplier strategy going forward. We'll be keen to see details of any specific projects you've undertaken, which have had a positive impact on the overall business performance, savings, efficiency levels.

This role will require you to lead the procurement function across all categories, creating and implementing sourcing strategies that ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply chain resilience across an international market. You will be experienced in buying and project management, be commercial in your approach, and keen to lead and mentor a team of buyers. Working effectively alongside the MD, Demand Planning Manager and Operations Manager, you'll be ensuring that all delivery/availability and stock targets are met or exceeded.

Candidate requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role within the ambient food or food services industries is a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of international shipping, duties and delivery processes would be beneficial.
  • Confident using ERP systems and procurement analytics tools.
  • Experience of introducing new suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Skilled negotiator with a commercial mindset and strong analytical ability.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver operational excellence.
  • French or Spanish as a second / third language would be beneficial but not essential.

On Offer:

  • Salary will be circa £85k upwards DOE
  • Performance related bonus
  • Healthcare and Life Cover
  • 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays
  • The role will be based in their Reigate office most of the week, with travel to clients' sites as required.
  • Hybrid remote working option (1 day work from home - Fridays)
