The expansion within the current procurement team of this internationally recognised retail name means they need some new team members. We are seeking someone with experience of supporting all aspects of the purchasing process. From identifying new suppliers, understanding market movements, and managing order placement in a busy commercial business - you will be involved in all stages, with lots of variety.
You will be sourcing products specifically in line with their instantly recognised customer needs, delivering on best price, lead times, and quality while maintaining the company's ethical sourcing policies. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and introducing new suppliers
- Managing customer tenders
- Liaising and updating sales and marketing colleagues at relevant stages
- Using excellent negotiation skills to work around international shipping and delivery deadlines, payment terms, and deals
- Raising formal purchase orders and all associated order administration on the in-house system
Qualification: A recognised CIPS qualification combined with ideally 3 years buying/purchasing from the FMCG market, and if food or food service sector even better.
On Offer: Salary will be circa £40-£45,000 DOE, performance bonus, healthcare and life cover, 23 leave days + 8 bank holidays, hybrid remote working option (1 day work from home - Fridays), office based days will be at their Reigate base.
