Are you detail-oriented with strong administrative skills and passionate about supporting students and families? We are looking for a School Admissions & Attendance Officer to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records, managing the admissions process, and providing essential administrative support to the school.

Contract: Term Time + 1 week, 38 weeks per year. Maternity Cover Contract.

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (working pattern discussed at interview)

Salary: Β£18,000 (FTE Β£26,000)

Your Responsibilities

  • Attendance Management: Accurately record and track student attendance, investigate absences, and generate reports for leadership teams.
  • Admissions Process: Oversee pupil admission processes, liaise with parents and local authorities, and coordinate school transfer procedures.
  • Student Data & Administration: Maintain records, process reports, handle enquiries, and support reception duties, including safeguarding procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Experience working with Word, Excel, and school management systems (Arbor preferred).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a fast-paced school setting.
  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • Fluent Portuguese would be advantageous but not essential.
