An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retailer Accountant to join Lloyd Motor Group based in Teeside. As the Retailer Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations across one or more dealership sites. Reporting to the Head of Business, you will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and provide insightful analysis to support business performance and decision-making.
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide detailed financial reporting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer and group reporting requirements
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and cashflow
- Collaborate with department managers to monitor and control budgets
- Prepare VAT returns and liaise with auditors
- Maintain and improve internal controls and processes
- Use and optimise the Keyloop Autoline system for reporting and operational efficiency
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/attributes:
- Previous experience in a Retailer Accountant role.
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or working towards is desirable.
- Experience of working within the motor industry in an accounting role is desirable.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Accuracy and ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A great team player, working alongside others with integrity, positivity and respect.
- Confidentiality and discretion are a must.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
